    Immunomedics is looking for an Director/Associate Director of Corporate Communications. This person is responsible for providing and supporting the overall strategic direction and implementation of the Immunomedics’ internal and external communications initiatives across multiple channels. The candidate would ideally have experience in corporate branding, identity and reputation, general media relations experience, including social media strategy, and corporate / government affairs.


    The candidate will also be responsible for planning and implementing an employee communications plan in light of the corporate vision, strategy and goals. The candidate must be an exceptional communicator (written and oral) with strong business acumen, ability to influence, demonstrated team building and leadership capabilities and presence.


    This person would partner closely with the Commercial team, Investor Relations, Human Resources and other cross-functional teams to ensure consistent and aligned messaging, while identifying and executing complementary initiatives.

    The person would be expected to perform the following activities (not exhaustive):

    • Develop and execute communications strategies and plans in alignment with the commercial and cross-functional teams to effectively and consistently communicate to key audiences and stakeholders
    • Works collaboratively across a variety of functions, including commercial, medical affairs, patient advocacy, grants and corporate giving, clinical development, technology and others to support communications goals and ensure alignment and consistency
    • Support corporate reputation activities including development corporate narrative and providing strategic communications for senior leadership as needed, e.g., speech content, talking points, presentations, news releases
    • Update and maintain brand guide while ensuring continuity externally and internally (e.g., digital content guidelines)
    • Help manage Immunomedics’ corporate website and internal intranet governance, content and design including content development and oversight of videos, infographics, etc. for the site(s)
    • Ensure that the brand messaging is consistent with the overall corporate messaging
    • In partnership with Human Resources, develops effective employee communications plans that strengthen recruitment, employee value proposition, engagement and support the company culture
    • Investigates innovative ways to reach patients and healthcare providers through PR activities involving media and advocacy groups, including use of social media
    • Assists in planning and organizing media activities
    • Manage public relations and/or corporate communications agency partners to maximize impact and assistance in reaching desired communications goals and objectives
    • Manage review and approval process that ensures message buy-in from related parties and the Executive Team
    • Monitor external coverage of Immunomedics in trade and business news across various platforms and develop KPIs to measure impact
    • Support issues management at the corporate and brand level, with focus on ensuring alignment and readiness on key issues identified through periodic risk analysis
    • Identifies, prepares and manages issues, as necessary



    • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or English; Master’s Degree preferred
    • 7-10 years of communications, corporate affairs and/or marketing experience, ideally in the biotech and/or pharmaceutical industry or at a communications/PR agency
    • Proven track record of building and effectively implementing successful corporate brand initiatives
    • Experience in corporate communications, product communications, social media, issues management, media relations, corporate philanthropy and collaboration with advocacy / professional alliance programs
    • Experience in publicly traded, commercial-stage company desired, with understanding of FDA regulations that impact communications
    • Familiarity with regulatory and compliance standards in the healthcare industry
    • Skilled in communicating complex information to a variety of audiences; demonstrated ability to break down complex ideas and concepts in the bio/pharmaceutical and/or healthcare industry in easy-to-understand ways
    • Demonstrated ability to navigate and collaborate across functions, business units, geographies and disciplines and with senior management
    • Experience managing agency and vendor relationships
    • Experience in issues management, including high-profile media engagement
    • Ability to anticipate and resolve problems effectively
    • Strong social media and digital acumen required
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including excellent presentation, facilitation and listening skills
    • Highly professional demeanor, strong presence and interpersonal skills, with an ability to create effective partnerships at all levels of the organization
    • Detail-oriented, self-initiating, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously and independently
    • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work in complex and time-sensitive situations
    • Ability to lead through influence and network, while driving employee and internal initiatives
    • Strong work ethic and results-oriented, skilled in project management
    • Demonstrated ability to operate successfully within a dynamic team culture and changing environment
