    The Associate Director, R&D Strategy Analytics will be responsible for conducting strategy-related analytics to ensure the optimal development and execution of Immunomedics’ integrated research & development plans. This position will be responsible for detailed cost analysis of future and ongoing clinical trials and other key R&D activites, tracking performance metrics, and helping to ensure that our R&D operating model for trials is being executed in a manner that appropriately balances strategy, risk and cost. The Associate Director, R&D Strategy Analytics will also work with the Head of Project Leadership and R&D Strategy to communicate and track the clinical development plan – including the operationalization of ongoing and future trials --  to senior management. This position will work across the R&D organization: Clinical Development, Medical Affairs on investigator-sponsored trials, as well as Translational Research.

    Responsibilities

    • Tracking R&D program milestones, timelines, operational risks, and dependencies, assessing functions at Immunomedics as well as those outsourced to partner vendors
    • Partner with Finance on budgeting and resource allocation, and work to create a common infrastructure with measurable operational efficiencies
    • Develop dashboards and performance metrics for operational aspects of R&D activites, e.g., clinical trials, co-development deals, and translational work, to highlight progress, risk, and projections
    • Assess vendor bids for R&D activities, e.g. planned clinical trials, to ensure that the R&D operating model for trials will be executed in a manner that appropriately balances strategy, risk and cost
    • Engage Clinical Leadership, as well as their teams, to assess operational components of key ongoing and planned R&D activities
    • Work with the Portfolio Analytics, Competitive Intelligence and Corporate Strategy teams on components of the R&D strategy, including the impact of competitive developments on potential development opportunities
    • Work with the Head of Project Leadership and R&D Strategy on presentations for senior management

    Qualifications

    • BA/BS required; advanced degree (MBA, JD, PhD) preferred
    • 5+ years of working experience, including at a top-tier management consulting firm
    • Proven analytical, strategy, planning, and program/ project management skills
    • Experience with tracking and coordinating progress
    • Operational and analytical acumen in a public company setting
    • Healthcare/ biopharma experience a bonus
    • Superior analytical skills that enable successful identification of issues with R&D operations, as well as potential solutions
    • Strong communications skills
    • Must be able to work collaboratively across the R&D team
    • Must be able to clearly explain concepts and value of R&D strategy
    • Significant experience with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is required
