  • Overview

    The Senior Manager/Manager of Medical Information is responsible for ensuring the timely availability of accurate response information to the Medical Information Team and for the management and oversight of associated technology tools used. The Manager will also complete quality review and provide assistance, feedback and training to other medical information personnel. 

    Responsibilities

     

    •  Assist in the development of regulatory compliant processes, including standard operating procedures, work instructions and other supporting process documents as needed.
    •  Ensure timely periodic review and updating of response information.
    •  Provide system reports surrounding inquiries.
    •  Complete quality review of medical information cases and, as necessary, ensure correction and provide feedback/retraining as necessary.
    •  Handle inquiries escalated to the internal Medical Information department by providing balanced, and timely responses to unsolicited medical inquiries.
    •  Recognize, collect and ensure appropriate forwarding of product quality and/or safety/adverse event information according to FDA guidelines and company policies.
    •  Ensure that quality and safety reconciliation activities are complete and serve as the Immunomedics point of contact surrounding these activities.
    •  Complete activities associated with quality and/or safety information as needed in collaboration with internal Immunomedics departments.
    •  Contribute to interdepartmental projects ensuring process alignment and assisting with medical information technology support efforts.
    •  Provide medical inquiry process training to internal Immunomedics colleagues/departments as needed.
    •  Attend external medical conferences and staff Medical Information booth as needed.

    Qualifications

     

    • Pharm D, RPh, NP, BSN or MSN required.
    • Oncology experience required.
    • Minimum of 5 years experience in medical information and biotech/pharmaceutical industry. 
    • Excellent computer skills with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
    • Knowledge of current Medical Information Management Systems.
    • Knowledge of Medical Information Regulations and “Best Practices”.
    • Experience in providing Medical Information.
    • Ability to create and present Medical Information and associated technology processes.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Flexible, with a positive attitude, strong ability to work independently, multi-task and prioritize activities effectively.
