  • Overview

    Responsible for installing and repairing wiring, electrical fixtures and control equipment, as well as supervising/oversight of third party support resources needed to install as well as maintain facilities/utilities and training electrician assistants on the job. We offer competitive pay and full benefits. Supports periodic shutdowns and support of outside vendors to complete installations and maintenance. 

    Responsibilities

    • Install, maintain, modify and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment
    • Work in a regulated environment.
    • Remain in compliance with current National, State and Local Electric Code
    • Inspect and test components of electrical systems, including transformers, transfer switches and switch gears
    • Complete work orders and record material utilized on jobs
    • Run computer cables, connect computer jacks and plugs and test for adequate operation
    • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer’s installation manuals to complete assigned projects. Sign documents of completion attesting to work executed to code and accepted electrical practice.
    • Survey electrical systems, circuits and plans

    Qualifications

    • Must have basic math skills and strong ability to solve problems.
    • Has good communication skills to work with management and manufacturing personnel.
    • Completes all documentation in a legible, error free, and timely manner following good documentation practices.
    • Must understand and follow any documented procedures (e.g., SOPs).
    • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 5 years of related experience in the electrical trade; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • New Jersey Electrical Contractor License or New Jersey Qualified Journeyman Electrician License
    • Environment: Work primarily takes place in a controlled environment handling potent, potentially cytotoxic and caustic chemicals. Also may be exposed to moving mechanical parts on equipment. Must be comfortable working with and around high pressure/high temperature water and steam (training is provided). Potential slip, trip, and fall hazards may exist due to wet floors. Ability to work varying shifts and potentially be on-call as needed.
