  • Overview

    The SEC Reporting Manager will lead and participate in the financial closing activities and play a key role in maintaining and improving internal processes. The SEC Reporting Manager will be an integral member of the finance team and will assist in managing all aspects of the Company’s financial processes.

    Responsibilities

    • Researches and assesses the impact of and documents technical accounting issues, such as ASC 606 Revenue Recognition, Debt Financing, Stock-based compensation, etc.
    • Leads equity and stock based compensation accounting and administration of Company equity programs.
    • Leads the preparation of the high-risk areas in the close.
    • Assists with preparation of Board of Director financial packages.
    • Assists in the management of the transition of accounting processes and ledgers associated with target’s financial position, statement of operations, and related cash flows.
    • Assists with the preparation and / or analysis of monthly financial statements of targets as well as budget vs. actual analysis.
    • Assists with the preparation of SEC filings including form 10-Q/K.
    • Assists with fair value accounting in connection with business combination guidance.
    • Implements accounting processes and systems for new business development and works to streamline and improve processes.
    • Ensures transactions are recorded, documented, reviewed and supported in accordance with policies and controls.
    • Assists in verifying the completeness, accuracy, and reasonableness of assumptions utilized in financial models.

    Qualifications

    • Minimum B.S. / B.A. in accounting or finance; CPA and/or MBA preferred.
    • Minimum 4 - 6 years of accounting experience with progressive responsibility required; big 4 Public and exposure to/or experience in the pharmaceutical industry preferred.
    • Experience in drafting technical memos and implementation of new GAAP guidance
    • In depth knowledge of GAAP guidelines, SEC reporting requirements and auditor methodologies required
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (advanced skills in Excel) required.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills and a professional demeanor required.
    • Must have strong project management, organizational, documentation, work ethics, and ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
    • Must be flexible to work overtime during peak periods as needed.
    • Proven ability to prioritize and flexibility with changing priorities and tight deadlines, analyze and solve problems in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to prioritize assignments, deal with interruptions, and meet deadlines, and multi-task in a fast paced and growth oriented environment.
    • Ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
