  • Overview

    The Senior Director/Director of Medical Information is responsible for leading the creation and management of Medical Information Call Center at Immunomedics. The position is responsible for directing and leading the activities and functional capabilities of the Medical Information Team. The position will be responsible for activating and managing the Medical Information Call Center, creating all technical information (i.e. Standard Response Letters/FAQs/AMCP Dossier); developing and executing a publication plan, participating in medical review committees; managing medical booths at congresses, and serving as the knowledge expert for cross-functional activities with Medical Affairs, Commercial, Drug Safety, Quality Assurance and Clinical.

    Responsibilities

    • Oversees the general operations of Medical Information and Call Center to ensure high-quality responses and support for continuous process improvement.
    • In close cooperation with clinical, research and medical affairs teams and in alignment with overall strategy create and execute comprehensive publication plan including full text publications, abstracts and posters.
    • Utilizes effective project and people management skills to ensure achievement of department goals and objectives.
    • Reviews and approves standard response letters and other product information documents to ensure accuracy, currency, and fair-balance of all clinical information provided by Medical Information staff.
    • In close cooperation with legal department ensure thorough review and internal approval of promotional material in order to ensure that data and messages are in line with label and publications
    • Liaises with other Medical Affairs line functions to effectively manage projects.
    • Interacts with Sales Training to identify trends and coordinates departmental participation in the review of sales training materials, including presentations and overall clinical training.
    • Ensures awareness of current trends within the industry. Identifies benchmarks and establishes best practices within the Medical Information group.
    • Provides input and participates in decisions that affect the overall budget, resourcing strategies, functional capabilities, and operations of the Medical Information group.
    • Creates and implements departmental SOPs, guidelines, and procedures necessary to achieve organizational and compliance objectives.
    • Evaluates adherence to policies/procedures and institutes corrective action when needed.
    • Conducts business in accordance with Immunomedics Values.



    Qualifications

    • Doctorate level degree (Pharm D, MD, PhD) or RPh. required.
    • Oncology experience required. 
    • Minimum of 8+ years experience in building and managing medical information and biotech/pharmaceutical industry experience.
    • Knowledge of current Medical Information Management Systems (e.g. IRMS)
    • Candidate will be managing Med Info managers, coordinators and Call Centers.
    • Knowledge of Medical Information Management Systems.
    • Knowledge of Medical Information Regulations and Best Practices.
    • Ability to create and present scientific and clinical data.
    • Demonstrated record of leadership, and people Management expertise.
    • Ability to work with multidisciplinary teams.
    • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
    • Flexible, with a positive attitude, strong ability to multi-task, prioritize projects effectively and communicate at all levels within the company.
    • Some travel required (20-30%) to manage Call Center, attend medical conferences, presentations, and other meetings.

                     The position will be filled at the level commensurate with experience.
